Paris, France: Solidarity with Anarchist Prisoners in Belarus and Around the World

On August 29, 2020, we cracked flares, unfurled banners and made a photo in response to the solidarity call of ABC Belarus.

This initiative follows the rebellions against the government, the dictatorship and the imprisonment of fellow anarchists in Belarus. In the last few days, after the solidarity appeal of ABC Belarus, actions have bloomed on the usual information pages: Belarusian embassies and consulates in Paris and Berlin have paid dearly.

The week of August 23 to 30 was also the week of international solidarity with anarchist prisoners. We took the opportunity to send warmth and solidarity to all our compas behind bars: Carla, Soheil, Thomas Meyer-Falk, the compas affected by repressive operations Scintilla, Bialystok, Prometheus, Scripta Manent and the others, the two compas from the Park Bench in Hamburg, Francisco and Monica, all the compas locked up in Greece, Indonesia, the Philippines, the United States and everywhere else.
Solidarity also with all the prisoners, anarchists or not, here or elsewhere!

Ohio Supermax Prison, U$A: Black August Message from Political Prisoner Greg Curry

Received on 10.09.2020

My name is Greg Curry, I support Black August and I encourage people in and out of prison to also support it. The time is now to put energy into the demands of a voiceless population. The time is now to be in the streets, throwing rocks at the symbols of oppression, violating curfews, making your good friends uncomfortable. The time is now, walk off the job, slow it down, break stuff.

One of America’s first known Anarchist once said: “No great idea in its beginning can ever be within the law. The Law is stationary, the law is fixed.” (EMMA GOLDMAN).

Some wish for Oppression to stop, some call for equality, some call for Abolition. I think we can agree that things as is must stop. We see events playing out on the streets of America, these things are done on camera, what do you think is being done behind the walls of prisons across America?! Solitary confinement in its many forms is growing, assaults by guards happen daily on people and property of prisoners. Our mail is under assault, our diet is under assault and when prisoners turn to those of you out there that can help we need You ! We need the outside world to support causes like PAROLEILLINOIS.ORGPAPS.ORG. your local chapter of ABC. or IWOC. and newspapers like San Francisco Bay View.

There is work to be done NOW!!! FREEDOM FIRST,

Greg Curry

Leipzig, Germany: Sow the Wind and Reap the Storm

[Le] Wer Wind sät, wird Sturm ernten

We take review of a long lasting weekend, filled with struggles against the increasing displacement, the gentrification and unbearable siege of pigs in our neighborhoods. After the eviction of two squats, the rage regarding the social grievances escalated for another time.

After the eviction of Luwi71 squat, there was a call for a Day X+1 demonstration for the following Thursday. Couple of hundred people where following the call and expressed their anger about the expulsion of the prospective social center near the Eisenbahnstraße neighborhood. Cops were attacked, barricades build and lit. The confrontations lasted for a couple of hours, in which people also tried to resquat the Luwi71. The pigs continuously tried to disperse the masses, but instead a couple of small demonstrations and affinity groups where pushing the confrontation forward. A couple of people from the neighborhood, who could watch the confrontation, decided to participate. One could feel the rage and anger about the daily siege and criminalization of the Eisenbahnstraße Neighborhood by the pigs, where the first “Waffenverbotszone” was constructed by the Saxonian government two years ago. In the course of the confrontations and after a couple of unsuccessful attacks of the cops, they started randomly to shoot tear gas into a crowd of bystanders, neighbors, demonstrators and journalists. That they used, here and on the following day, an ammunition which is forbidden by the law of war weapons, does not surprise in the face of the militarization of the Saxon police.

Czech Republic: 8th Hearing of the Fenix 2 Trial – What’s Been Happening

On Monday the 13th of July 2020, another trial in the Fénix 2 case took place at the District Court in Most with the participation of the public. There was no fundamental reversal this time, again. Time passes, resources are continually being wasted and the whole things remains a farce.

Trial began with a list of alleged documentary evidence, which, in fact, only proved the incompetence of the police. The relatively long list consisted mainly of things from house searches that happened in April 2015, such as online media or anarchist publications. To give you an idea, we can list some of them bellow (1):

• Povstalecký anarchismus: organizování se pro útok
• Bludný kruh antikapitalistického hnutí v Česku
• Ozbrojená radost – Alfredo M. Bonnano
• Anarchistické napětí – Alfredo M. Bonnano
• Příručka pro přímou akci
• Bastardi, vím kdo vás poslal: o útoku na šéfa jaderného průmyslu
• Konverzace mezi anarchisty
• Neformální anarchistická federace: FAI a povstalecký anarchismus

Lukáš Borl pointed out in front of the jury that these materials were confiscated in places where he did not live (he did not even have a permanent residence in the Czech Republic back then). In the Ateneo community center, computers were used by the whole community, so these materials could be added to library by anyone. It is unclear how the police assumed that the confiscated materials belonged to him. Nevertheless, most of the confiscated items has already been returned, because (according to official statement) “the items are no longer needed for criminal proceedings and there is no doubt about their ownership by the accused”.

Genoa, Italy: Anarchy Can’t Be Locked Up Behind Bars

Genoa, Piazza San Lorenzo
Saturday 26th September, 4pm 2020

Gathering against repression in solidarity with the anarchists arrested following operation Scripta Manent.

ANARCHY CAN’T BE LOCKED UP BEHIND BARS

The «Scripta Manent» appeal trial in Turin is coming to an end. It was on 6th September 2016 that eight anarchists were arrested and accused of having formed or participated in a «subversive association with aims of terrorism and subversion of the democratic order», a charge that about twenty anarchists are accused of in the trial. In particular the accusations are of carrying out, from 2005, several direct and armed actions against the police (police chiefs, carabinieri barracks, carabinieri training centres and RIS), men of State (mayors, the minister of the interior), journalists, companies involved in the restructuring of CIEs and the director of a detention centre for migrants, actions that were claimed FAI and FAI-FRI (Informal Anarchist Federation-International Revolutionary Front). In addition that of having written and edited anarchist publications including a historic publication of the movement, “Croce Nera Anarchica” [Anarchist Black Cross].

In April 2019, with the first-grade trial sentence, the comrades Alessandro, Alfredo, Anna, Marco and Nicola were given sentences ranging from 5 to 20 years of imprisonment, whereas another 18 were acquitted and two were released. In Alfredo and Nicola’s case, years of imprisonment were added to a previous sentence for the kneecapping of the managing director of Ansaldo Nucleare, Roberto Adinolfi. This action was carried out on 7th May 2012 in Genoa and proudly claimed by the two comrades in court during the trial following their arrest in September of the same year.

U$A: Rest in Power Michael Forest Reinoehl

05.09.2020: The state has just assassinated a militant antifascist. Michael acted against fascist street terror and in defense of the people of #Portland and in defense of the struggle for liberation. There has been a disgusting amount of slander by those who want social peace (a return to normal). He acted courageously in the ongoing civil war and passed a martyr. We remember him and his revolutionary deeds. The state has taken so many. #ftp #antiracism #selfdefense

Berlin, Germany: Attack on the Consulate General & Embassy of Belarus (Video & Statement)

“Bread, Salt, Land and Freedom” can be heard in the streets of all Belarus at present. Everywhere people and our friends have been streaming onto the streets since August 9th. Unusual for a country where activists disappear, are tortured or draconian prison sentences are supposed to suppress any thought of another world. But the population is looking for alternatives and our companions are right in the middle of it:

“We should not forget that anarchists are against not only this presidential election, but against any president in general. The Belarusian people have long known that power corrupts everyone. Lukashenko may be replaced by an opposition politician, who will keep power in the country and continue repression against his own population. We must rise up not to get a new president, but to live without presidents. Decentralization of power should be a key factor in the transition from dictatorship to a free society.“
Pramen

While the madman from Belarus, self-proclaimed president, congratulates his murderous cop units and symbolically walks through Minsk with a Kalashnikov, the strikes and attacks on these units continue. The fear must be deep-seated of losing power, so he had the Internet turned off, sent the military to fight the demos and his whole family ran through the streets with weapons.

In Berlin, too, we follow the events and were inspired by the attack on the Belarusian embassy in Paris.
We send our greetings and strength to our anarchist friends and all the other rebels in the streets, following the call for international solidarity:

Kitu Territory, Ecuador: While Misery Exists There Will Be Rebellion!

Kitu, a territory dominated by the Ecuadorian state and global capitalism.

Make it clear: WHILE MISERY EXISTS THERE WILL BE REBELLION!

For each and every one of the people who had to make the streets of Guayaquil their death bed,
For each and every woman and girl killed by miserable femicidals, including judges, prosecutors and doctors,
For all that has been taken from us by taking advantage of people’s fear,
For all the blood of our brothers and sisters in the hands of the state police,
For every tear shed by hunger, fear, anger and pain,
For rivers and lives devastated by crude oil and its murderous progress,
For each of the 105 communities in the Amazon that have been contaminated,
For every territory razed, exploited and annihilated by ecocidal mega-mines.

Santiago, Chile: Letter from Anarchist Prisoner Mónica Caballero

For those opposed to this system of terror, prison is always a bitter pill and it always hurts.

Prison and I are old acquaintances, on more than one occasion I have sat at his table, over the years we have changed and we have both learned from one another… but no matter how much time I spend in prison, I remain the same. Prison is still the monstrous phagocyte of power that grows with submission and repentance, and I continue with the same seditious desires of yesteryear.

The powerful succeeded in locking up my restless body, they tried to guard it for many years, but even though it is caged, my heart is still out there far from fences, high walls and watchful eyes… the grey of this place only touches me superficially.

The prison is another place of struggle on the road to confrontation, the anti-authoritarian confrontation for me has not finished, it has only changed shape.
Dear Juan Aliste, Joaquín GarcíaMarcelo Villarroel and Dinos Giagtzoglou‘s words are a breath of fresh air in this cell.

There is still much to build and to destroy!
Active solidarity with the Mapuche political prisoners on hunger strike

Long live Anarchy!

[Scaricare PDF]

Genova, piazza San Lorenzo
Sabato 26 settembre, ore 16.00

EN | Madrid: Imminent threat of eviction of the Ateneo Libertario de Vallekas
